Maker residency · Goa

Makers Asylum
Residency.

I started my robotics journey with LEGO robotics, Python programming and basic CAD modelling. Over the following year I went deeper—working with Arduino-based sensors and electronic circuits, programming in C++, and learning Autodesk Fusion 360 for advanced 3D design and CAD modelling.

With that year of learning behind me, I joined a one-week Makers Residency at Makers Asylum in Goa. In a team of four, guided by experienced professionals, we designed, built and programmed a robot from the ground up—developing its circuitry, testing it, working through the errors, and finally presenting the finished robot to an audience of parents, fellow participants and our mentors.

The residency moved me past theory. For the first time I applied everything I had learned to design and build a complete, working robot as part of a team.

The throughline

Curiosity became
a mission.

It started with one question I kept asking myself: Can I build a machine to solve this?

What began for me with modular robotics grew into a decade of designing, programming and improving systems with Arduino and emerging technologies.

My work now reaches beyond machines—toward farming, water, nature and responsible innovation that can improve everyday life.

“Robotics is more than a hobby for me. It is a way of seeing ordinary challenges differently.”

Four project areas

Technology with
purpose.

My work sorts into four areas. Each has its own case study—the problem I saw, how I approached it, what I learned and where it stands now.

01Agricultural robotics

Kheti Insight

Main project · patent-related

My main project: a field robot I am building to bring practical technology closer to farmers, exploring how sensing, mobility and automation can support everyday agricultural work.

02Sustainability

Water Conservation

Patent in progress

A device I designed to cut unnecessary water use and turn a familiar everyday action into a chance to conserve.

03Connected systems

Smart Automation

Ongoing experiments

Connected prototypes I built to see how sensors, controllers and simple decision rules can make everyday spaces more responsive and efficient.

04Foundation

LEGO Robotics

Completed experiments

Where my maker journey started: learning how movement, gears, structure and simple logic work together by building and rebuilding modular robots.

Published research · peer-reviewed

Exploring blade design & size optimization in wind turbines.

My research paper on how blade length and wind speed affect the power a wind turbine can produce—a software simulation run across four locations in India, published in the International Journal for Multidisciplinary Research (IJFMR).

Five acts, one throughline

Learn. Build.
Improve. Repeat.

My journey is not just a list of projects. It shows how an early fascination became a problem-solving instinct, and then a commitment to useful innovation.

01
Origin

Curiosity takes shape

LEGO robotics turned my childhood interest in machines into the habit of building, testing and asking better questions.

02
Instinct

Problems become prompts

Everyday friction became a design brief for me: can a mechanism, sensor or instruction make this work better?

03
Turning point

From models to electronics

Arduino, sensors and programming expanded what my prototypes could observe, decide and do.

04
Purpose

Technology meets real needs

Agriculture and water conservation shifted my focus from building machines to building meaningful solutions.

The ambition

Small experiments.
Meaningful change.

I keep going—one question, one prototype and one better solution at a time.
